Dear Listener,

This is the first cover I've ever recorded. It's an interpretation of one of my favorite Spoon b-sides—"Is This the Last Time?" off of the "Someone Something" single—largely inspired by all those times I forgot to switch my turntable from 33 1/3 to 45 RPM when I put the record on. It's been a pleasure and challenge to interpret: to decide what's essential and what's unnecessary, to presume to solve its problems and attempt to avoid more. The organ in the original, for instance, is untouchable: What use is it to try and copy a perfect sound? No use at all.

I hope this finds you well. I hope you enjoy. And I encourage you to track the original down too!
